I’m an MSc researcher at the University of Toronto studying how field monitoring and fish behaviour can improve invasive-fish detection and management. My work combines field sampling and eDNA with planned behavioural experiments to support freshwater conservation.

Research focus

  1. 01

    Fish behaviour & invasive species

How behaviour can inform the detection and management of non-native fishes.

  2. 02

    Ecological monitoring & quantitative evidence

How field observations, eDNA, and analysis strengthen ecological decisions.

  3. 03

    Biodiversity under environmental change

How ecological communities respond to changing resources, climate, and human pressures.

Research direction

I’m interested in how fishes respond to environmental and human-driven change, and how field surveys, eDNA, acoustics, behavioural experiments, and quantitative ecology can support effective conservation and management.

About

I’m drawn to empirical ecology: collecting samples, refining methods, and translating field observations into clear evidence. I’m especially motivated by questions that can improve conservation and management.
